Currently, mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, the two main components of kratom, are not explicitly listed in the German Narcotics Act (BtMG). This means that the possession, sale and consumption of kratom and its ingredients are not regulated by the BtMG and are therefore not subject to any legal restrictions BfArM – Narcotics.
